Corrie & Jim

Corrie & Jim told me they wanted to get married in an old building with a contemporary twist. They loved my suggestion of Woodlands Hotel, but the size of the function rooms weren't suitable for what was to be a beautiful, intimate occasion, so we put up a marquee in the grounds. Corrie and Jim wrote their own vows and the bride made her entrance to a string quartet. A gospel choir performed their chosen hymns. I created hand-made confetti cones, filled them with real pink and red rose petals, and attached them to each chair. After the ceremony the guests had reception drinks and canapés on the lawn, entertained by a jazz band. Colour-wise, the theme was hot pinks and reds, with masses of coordinating flowers. Speciality lighting was used to give the marquee a pink hue.
